Multi-Point Diamond Dressers
Definition and Applications

Multipoint diamond dresser is a dressing tool with a diamond segment with natural (ND) or synthetic mono- (MCD) or polycrystalline (PCD) diamonds. Multipoint dressers vary by the placement of diamonds, diamond size, and quantity. Diamonds can be placed along the axis of the shank or in layers. Many shank options are available.

Multipoint diamond dressers can also be customized according to individual technical requirements.

Application

Instrument-servis developed a wide line of multi-point dressers to meet diverse demands of truing and dressing applications.

Multipoint diamond dressers are used for dressing grinding wheels that perform external, internal, cylindrical, centerless, and surface grinding, as well as some operations in thread grinding and gear grinding.

Multipoint diamond dressers restore the properties of the working surface of a grinding wheel and restore its original geometry. The tools are also used for rough dressing before high-precision finish dressing using blade type, cone/pyramid point, or profile dressers.
